Overview:
The Department Administrator II, Radiation Oncology & Ophthalmology provides strategic and operational leadership for the administrative needs for both departments including financial management, budget development, strategic planning, faculty support in partnership with the department chairs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee administrative operations for the Radiation Oncology and Ophthalmology departments. Supports the Chairs with planning, reporting and departmental initiatives.
- Partnerships & Operational Coordination: Serves as key department operational liaison with Sentara leadership
- Physician Recruitment & Faculty Affairs: Partners with Department Chairs to coordinate physician recruitment activities in accordance with institutional and Medical group policies, procedures and recruitment processes.
- Financial & Grants Management: Provides budgeting financial oversight and administrative management for the Departments
- Facilities & Resources: Oversees operational planning and coordination for department facilities, including clinic infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree with seven years of relevant healthcare experience. Leadership experience in physician coordination and scheduling, with oversight of administrative staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Grants management experience preferred
