Construction Defect Associate Attorney

Our client, a respected Colorado litigation firm with a long-standing reputation for defending complex civil matters, is seeking a Construction Defect Associate Attorney to join its Denver office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 2+ years of construction defect and/or insurance defense litigation experience who is looking to take on meaningful case responsibility, develop litigation skills, and work alongside experienced trial attorneys on sophisticated matters throughout Colorado.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defend construction industry clients in construction defect litigation and related claims.
  • Analyze construction contracts, project documentation, expert reports, engineering evaluations, and insurance policies.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents, including dispositive motions.
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
  • Prepare for and take depositions of parties, fact witnesses, corporate representatives, and experts.
  • Attend and participate in mediations, settlement conferences, hearings, and arbitrations.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit management, motion practice, and courtroom proceedings.
