Description

Ready to Use Your Nursing Experience Beyond the Bedside?

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who loves connecting with people, educating patients and families, and building meaningful relationships, but you're ready for a career beyond traditional bedside nursing?

We're seeking an engaging, polished, and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a unique Clinical Relationship Manager position in Houston.

This position combines your clinical expertise, communication skills, and relationship-building abilities in a highly autonomous role. Rather than providing direct patient care, you'll spend your days within Houston-area hospitals serving as a clinical resource, developing relationships with healthcare professionals, and helping patients and families better understand hospice services and the support available to them.

What You'll Do

As a Clinical Relationship Manager, you'll become a trusted resource within Houston's hospital community.

You'll:

  • Build and develop relationships with physicians, hospital staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Serve as a knowledgeable clinical resource regarding hospice services
  • Educate patients and families and help them better understand hospice care
  • Help navigate sensitive conversations with professionalism, compassion, and empathy
  • Increase awareness of hospice services within hospital systems
  • Develop and maintain strong referral relationships
  • Represent the organization professionally throughout the Houston healthcare community
  • Spend your workdays onsite within major Houston-area hospitals
  • Independently organize and manage your hospital schedule and territory
  • Assist with the admission process when appropriate

This is not a bedside nursing position and does not involve routine direct patient care.

Who We're Looking For

Clinical knowledge matters, but your ability to connect with people matters just as much.

The ideal candidate is someone who can confidently walk into a hospital, introduce themselves to a physician or healthcare leader, and develop a professional relationship all the while having the emotional intelligence to sit with a family during a difficult moment and communicate with empathy.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • A Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Professional, and credible
  • Outgoing and comfortable initiating conversations
  • An exceptional communicator and educator
  • Emotionally intelligent and socially aware
  • Compassionate and empathetic
  • Resilient and comfortable working independently
  • Skilled at developing professional relationships
  • Comfortable communicating with physicians, clinical teams, patients, and families
  • Interested in transitioning away from traditional bedside nursing

Experience working within a major Houston hospital system is highly desirable.

Hospice experience is not required.

Previous relationship-building, business development, community outreach, case management, patient education, or sales-related experience can be beneficial.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

Step Away From Bedside Nursing—Without Leaving Nursing Behind

Your clinical background remains an important part of what you do. You'll use your nursing knowledge differently: educating, answering questions, building trust, and helping healthcare professionals and families better understand available care options.

Monday–Friday Schedule

Enjoy a weekday schedule with no weekend on-call requirement.

Autonomy

This is a highly independent, field-based position. You'll have flexibility in how you structure your days across Houston-area hospitals rather than reporting to the same office every day.

Be Part of Something New

This Clinical Relationship Manager model is being introduced in the Houston market, giving you an opportunity to help establish and shape the position as it grows.

Training & Support

You'll receive initial systems and organizational training followed by hands-on support in the field. Leadership will help introduce you to established hospital referral relationships and provide ride-along training as you transition into the role.

Additional Earning Potential

In addition to base compensation, the position offers performance-based bonus/commission earning potential tied to admissions.

This is not a traditional quota-driven sales position. The focus is on education, relationships, credibility, and being an accessible clinical resource within the hospitals.

This Could Be a Great Next Step If You're an RN Who...

  • Loves nursing but is ready to leave bedside care
  • Enjoys educating patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Naturally builds relationships wherever you go
  • Wants more independence and autonomy
  • Is comfortable networking with physicians and hospital leadership
  • Can balance confidence and professionalism with genuine empathy
  • Wants to use clinical expertise in a different way
  • Is interested in a position combining healthcare, education, outreach, and relationship development

If you're ready to explore a different direction for your nursing career while continuing to make a meaningful impact on patients, families, and the healthcare community, we'd love to speak with you.
