About Amazon
Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one. At Amazon, it is always "Day 1."
Role Overview
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the highest-ranking executive at Amazon, responsible for the overarching vision, global strategy, and operational success of the entire enterprise. Culture & Talent Management
- Embody and relentlessly reinforce Amazon's 16 Leadership Principles (e.g., Customer Obsession, Ownership, Invent and Simplify).
- Attract, retain, and mentor a world-class executive team (the S-Team) and foster a diverse, inclusive, and high-performance workplace for over 1.5 million global employees.
- Drive initiatives that prioritize employee safety, well-being, and career development across both corporate and fulfillment center environments.
Stakeholder & Public Relations
- Act as the primary liaison between management and the Board of Directors, providing transparent, data-driven updates on company performance and strategic initiatives.
