To prepare and serve nutritious, appealing, delicious high quality meals in a team environment that students will enjoy in an efficient, clean, safe environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES;
- Perform assigned tasks as instructed by the Food Service Director that allows for complete operation of the National School Lunch Program on a daily basis. This includes all preparation, equipment operation, serving, sanitation, storage and cleaning tasks.
- Adhere to all State, Federal and Local regulations for preparation, serving, sanitation,
quality standards and storage of food
- Responsible for the security of lunch money and receipts
- Maintain an accurate accounting of all meals and a la carte items served
- Maintain accurate records and reports as assigned by the Food Service Director
- Assist Food Service Director with monthly physical inventory of all food, supplies,
and related equipment
- Attend job related training classes and workshops
- Follows and practices appropriate procedures for sanitation guidelines to maintain a
clean, safe, kitchen and cafeteria environment
- Follows and practices appropriate safety procedures in preparing, storing, and serving
meals
- Attend training in and operates fire extinguisher equipment in emergency situations
- Attend training in and performs basic first aid techniques in emergency situations
- Assist Food Service Director with promotional marketing activities to encourage and
enhance participation in meal programs
- Perform other appropriate duties consistent with this job goal or as assigned by the
Food Service Director.
Compensation will be in accordance with the salary scale outlined in the ATA collective bargaining agreement.
