Description

About Konnect:

Konnect Agency is an independent PR and communications agency helping brands build awareness, relevance, and momentum. Our work brings together earned media, creator partnerships, experiential marketing, social media, and compelling storytelling.

The Opportunity:

We're looking for a strong writer and highly organized Agency Marketing Coordinator to help bring Konnect's work, people, and perspective to a broader audience.

You'll connect the dots across our social channels, newsletter, website, award submissions, and marketing materials, making sure great work becomes compelling content and reaches the right audience.

Working with agency leadership and teams across the business, you'll gather stories, write copy, coordinate assets and approvals, and keep our marketing calendar moving. You should enjoy both finding the story and doing the follow-up needed to get it published.

What You'll Do:

Write and develop content

  • Work with the social and digital teams to gather and help edit social posts, newsletters, website copy, agency announcements, case studies, and marketing materials.
  • Turn campaign results, team insights, and agency milestones into clear, engaging stories.
  • Support executive thought leadership by developing draft posts and articles from leadership's ideas.
  • Adapt stories for different audiences and channels while maintaining a consistent Konnect voice.
  • Check facts, results, names, and details before content goes live.

Connect social, email, and website marketing

  • Maintain one editorial calendar across Konnect's marketing channels.
  • Coordinate with social and creative colleagues to develop, approve, and publish content.
  • Help produce the agency newsletter, including story selection, copywriting, asset collection, testing, and distribution.
  • Keep website news, case studies, and team information current.
  • Extend the life of strong content: turn a campaign success into a case study, newsletter feature, social series, and award opportunity.

Coordinate awards and industry visibility

  • Research relevant agency, campaign, and leadership awards.
  • Maintain a calendar of deadlines, requirements, entry fees, and submission status.
  • Draft award entries and collect supporting results, visuals, and information from account teams.
  • Coordinate reviews and approvals so submissions are accurate and on time.
  • Help identify speaking opportunities, agency profiles, and other ways to showcase Konnect's expertise.

General agency needs

  • Proactively gather campaign wins, coverage, photos, videos, and results from teams.
  • Maintain an organized collection of approved marketing assets.
  • Set clear internal deadlines, follow up on missing information, and flag obstacles early.
  • Support updates to agency credentials, capabilities materials, and case study libraries.
  • Track content performance, newsletter engagement, website traffic, and relevant inquiries; recommend practical improvements.

What you'll bring

  • Approximately 3 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, PR, journalism, or content.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with samples that demonstrate your ability to tell a clear story.
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage several deadlines at once.
  • Confidence following up with colleagues at every level and moving work through approvals.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, email marketing platforms, and content scheduling tools.
  • Comfort using Canva and collaborating with designers on graphics and simple video content.
  • Initiative, curiosity, and sound judgment about what makes a story interesting.
  • Comfort using AI tools to support your work, paired with strong editorial judgment and careful fact-checking.

This is a hybrid in-office role with 3 days/week in one of Konnect's hubs (Los Angeles, Chicago). Previous Agency experience in a commensurate role and award submission experience is preferred. As part of the consideration process, applicants will be asked to submit 2-3 writing samples; ideally including social copy, a newsletter, case study, article, or award entry.
