Position Information

This position reports to the Director of the Basic Needs Center (BNC) and provides administrative support to the area. This individual in this role should possess the ability to navigate administrative processes and business systems, coordinate multiple projects, and exercise time management, prioritization, and good judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative/operational support for departmental scholarships, assessment initiatives, student data collection
  • Track and monitor budgets including expenditures, expense reports, purchase requisitions, and reconciling P-cards for all areas, and reconcile travel/assist with scheduling travel for centers' staff
  • Purchase supplies
  • Develop policies & procedures for BNC hourly employees covering the front reception
  • Develop, monitor, and update social media and website content for BNC as needed
  • Create in-house marketing materials using graphic designing software
  • Communicate with campus departments in relation to maintenance, updates, and repairs for all areas
  • Provide logistical support for projects and events including room scheduling, catering, attendee communication, and other related arrangements

Required Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Two years of related secretarial/clerical experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Moderate to high level of PC experience including data management systems, word processing, and spreadsheets, including Google Drive programs
  • Social media account management experience
  • Digital marketing and design experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
