Help

FV-H Level: Performs multiple and varying assignments under the limited direction of the manager. Acts as an individual contributor and/or may serve as a team leader on various projects. Applies experience and advanced knowledge and understanding of management principles. practices, methods, and techniques, and skill in integrating management services with the general management of the organization. Provides and/or obtains a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the organization. Demonstrates considerable independence in planning time and assists others to plan and use assigned resources to complete tasks. Provides, secures, or negotiates for the resources or services needed to manage the office of the assigned organization. The work involves direct assistance to the supervisor who has the primary responsibility for the direction of the organization established to accomplish the mission.

As the office Administrative Professional: Tracks and analyzes data to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Responsible for coordinating and performing multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of the manager. May work as a team member on various projects. Responsible for planning time and assisting others to plan and use assigned resources to complete tasks. Responsible for coordinating and accomplishing all administrative tasks in a wide range of administrative and analytical duties. Evaluates and monitors office expenditures and makes sound changes based on trends and analysis, merit and deficiency situations, and known or anticipated program changes.

Performs immediate and long-range planning and control for organizational services independently anticipating program changes, etc. Coordinates with Human Resources for advice on advisory services as they relate to organizational related functions including pay, leave, and benefits. Reviews travel associated matters and manages the training program including initial and recurring. Responsible for managing the office logistics program including personal property, supplies and services, and acquisition activities, awards, OSHA, security, and vehicle management.

Procures office supplies and equipment and closely monitors expenditures and reviews purchase card statements for accuracy. Work activities may be critical to the success of projects for one or more organizational entities within the office demographic and functional area. Recommends improvements to systems and processes. Identifies, analyzes and recommends solutions to recurring problems and offers recommendations for improvements. Interprets guidelines and provides management with advice and counsel on the operation of assigned programs and interrelationships of such programs. Performs additional duties as they are assigned.

FV-G Level:

Incumbent is responsible for providing advice and guidance on varying fiscal and administrative matters to management. Primarily concerned with providing or securing the resources or services needed to run the organization. The work involves direct assistance to the supervisor who has the primary responsibility for the direction of the organization established to accomplish the mission. As the office Administration Professional assists managers and staff in projecting staffing needs, including staffing levels and grades and conducts workflow studies within the organization. Perform other duties as assigned.

FV-F Level: Incumbent will provide essential administrative and operational services in support of assigned organizational unit or sub organization. Provide advice and guidance to management on varying fiscal and administrative matters. Apply basic knowledge and understanding of management principles, practices, methods, and techniques. Provide and secure the resources or services needed to support the assigned organization. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience:

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

FV-H: To qualify for this position at the FV-H (FG/GS-12) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-G (FG/GS-10-11) level.

Specialized Experience for FV-H includes experience applying management principles, practices, methods, and techniques to solve the problems of the organization; experience integrating management services with the general management of an organization; experience developing and securing the fiscal and business resources and services needed to manage and run an organization; experience performing systematic general management reviews and audits to reach conclusions and make recommendations.

FV-G: To qualify for this position at the FV-G (FG/GS 10-11) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-F (FG/GS-5-9) level.

Specialized Experience for FV-G includes experience applying management principles, methods, and techniques to solve the problems of the organization; experience with the general management of an organization; and experience developing and securing for the fiscal and business resources and services needed to manage and operate an organization.

FV-F: To qualify for this position at the FV-F (FG/GS 5-9) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess three (3) years of general experience of which one (1) year was equivalent to the FG/GS-4 level.

Specialized Experience for FV-F includesanalyzing problems to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognizing solutions; planning and organizing work; and communicating effectively orally and in writing.

Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

Education substitution for FV-H:

Not Applicable.
