Administrative Assistant
Location: Sacramento, CA
Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Position Overview
This Administrative Assistant role supports a mission‑driven organization dedicated to connecting individuals with healthcare and community resources. The position plays a critical role as a frontline point of contact, supporting individuals who may be navigating complex, sensitive, or urgent situations. The ideal candidate brings a high level of professionalism, empathy, and strong communication skills to effectively support diverse populations.
Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for inbound inquiries via phone, email, and web platforms
Listen attentively to client needs, often involving sensitive or complex situations, and provide appropriate guidance or referrals
Direct individuals to relevant healthcare, social services, or community resources
Maintain professionalism and empathy when supporting individuals who may be frustrated or in crisis
Maintain accurate records, including case notes, communications, and internal documentation
Review and proofread written communications (letters, outreach materials, internal documents) to ensure clarity and accuracy
Assist with data entry and database management, ensuring information is up‑to‑date and organized
Support general office operations, including scheduling, file management, and coordination tasks
Assist with maintaining and updating multiple organizational websites and online resources
Support content updates, ensuring information is current, accurate, and user‑friendly
Collaborate on internal and external communications, including newsletters, outreach materials, and announcements
Support planning and execution of meetings, community events, and outreach initiatives
Prepare event materials such as name badges, signage, table tents, and presentation materials
Coordinate logistics including scheduling, vendor communication, and attendee tracking
Assist with outreach efforts to strengthen community engagement and partnerships

Pay Details: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
