Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst II performs varied and complex technical, analytical, and policy analysis and formulation assignments related to the pesticide registration process, personnel activities, budgeting, procurement, and facilities. Serves as the coordinator for mandatory and voluntary training, out-of-state and in-state travel, and contract management. Works on interdisciplinary projects with staff in the Human Resources Branch, Fiscal, Audits and Business Services Branch, Information Technology Branch, and staff in the Executive Office. The Analyst II is also responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and processing submissions that may contain confidential information from pesticide registrants, consultants, state and federal agencies, and the public and assuring the integrity of California Pesticide Electronic System Tracking (CalPEST), a web-based software application that streamlines the pesticide product registration process.
