- Provide administrative, clerical, and front desk support to disability determination operations. - Answer, direct, and transfer incoming calls using switchboard systems. - Greet and check in visitors; manage visitor records. - Take and relay messages, provide general information, and maintain administrative records. - Sort and distribute mail; manage fax communications; perform general clerical duties. - Deliver basic customer service support to internal staff and external parties. - Locate and schedule specialized medical providers for consultative examinations (CE) for claimants. - Coordinate and communicate CE appointments with claimants and medical providers. - Prepare, assemble, and mail CE packets; transmit paperwork to providers as needed. - Contact claimants for appointment reminders, outstanding documentation, and transportation assistance. - Communicate with medical providers, hospitals, and attorneys for required reports and authorizations. - Support claim adjudicators by contacting claimants, attorneys, and medical sources as directed. - Track completion of daily work assignments and participate in case development activities. - Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a fast-paced office environment. - Utilize computer systems for data entry, scheduling, and email communication. - Position may require bilingual (English/Spanish) skills (preferred but not required). - Must pass a background check; local candidates only; on-site work required during training, with potential for hybrid work after training.
