The Administrative Assistant II ensures the efficient operation of the office by providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Senior Department Administrator. This position is responsible for managing schedules, handling correspondence, and performing various administrative tasks to support the team. With strong communication skills and a proactive approach, the Administrative Assistant II will contribute to a productive and professional workplace, assisting with everything from office management to event coordination. This role requires discretion, flexibility, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Experience with purchasing and invoice payments, working knowledge of University policies and procedures

Experience with executive scheduling and calendar management

Experience with Tulane administrative systems

Ability to multitask and establish priorities

Strong oral and communication skills

Ability to interact in a courteous and professional manner with external and internal stakeholders

Proficient computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Suite

Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
