Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (minimum); schedule may vary with weekend flexibility required at times

Job Summary
Our client, a leading distribution and logistics company, is seeking a detail-oriented Transportation Clerk to support daily operations within its transportation department. This role is responsible for performing clerical duties and maintaining regulatory compliance in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, organize, and process driver daily paperwork, logs, manifests, and vehicle inspections
- Answer phones, route calls, and take messages
- Research operational challenges, order supplies, and serve as liaison between office and operations teams
- Respond to delivery associate issues and provide support toward resolution
- Process inbound freight paperwork on a weekly basis
- Act as the primary point of contact for inbound freight issues
- Generate daily reports for operations supervisors (e.g., observations, vehicle tracking)
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably within transportation or logistics
- Working knowledge of DOT regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong phone handling and call routing skills
- Proficiency in Windows operating system and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a transportation or distribution environment
- Experience processing freight paperwork and generating operational reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
