• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 12 months
• Pay Rate: $28.00 $35.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Standard working hours (8 AM start); occasional overtime of approximately 2 hours on average when requested

Job Summary

This role provides real-time cost visibility, budgeting accuracy, and financial discipline during the planning and execution phases of a scheduled plant turnaround. The role bridges the gap between field execution and corporate accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Post-Turnaround & Reporting

• Final Cost Report: Reconcile all invoices against field-verified data to produce a final expenditure report.
• Variance Analysis: Explain why the event went over or under budget (e.g., "Scope creep in Unit 3 led to a 10% overrun").
• Benchmarking: Capture data to improve the accuracy of the next TAR cycle.

Required Skills

• 5 years of cost control/financial background
• Google Suite applications
• Organized and structured
• Technical mastery of Excel (Pivot Table)

Education Requirements

• Associate degree or 5 years of equivalent experience

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control or a financial background

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Onsite position located in Bayport, TX
• Occasional overtime of approximately 2 hours on average when requested
