Boutique Accounting Firm in Long Island is looking for a reliable Administrative Assistant that can work well in a fast-paced, office-based setting. We have regular business hours 9AM - 5PM, with potential for increased hours during tax season or month-end

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Accounting Support: Data entry for accounts payable and receivable, preparing invoices, assisting with bank reconciliations, and maintaining general ledger records.
  • Office Administration: Answering phones, managing emails, scheduling appointments, scanning/filing documents, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Customer/Vendor Interaction: Serving as the front-counter contact, resolving basic inquiries, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Assisting with payroll processing, expense reports, and preparing data for tax forms

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: High school diploma required; Associate degree in accounting, finance, or office administration preferred.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and some experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Attributes: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality
