Accounting Manager

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager: Oversee full close procedures, including budgeting, invoicing, reimbursements, expense reviews, reconciliations, fixed assets, and day-to-day accounting activities across multiple entities and projects. Train and mentor accounting staff, support special financial projects and escalated accounting matters, and identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and overall efficiency.

Our client, a leader in their industry, is looking to add an Accounting Manager to their growing team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$70,000 - $90,000

Position Overview:
The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and partner closely with leadership to support the organization's continued growth. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for multi-entity accounting, month-end close, job costing, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and tax coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to lead the accounting function while improving processes, systems, and overall efficiency.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

• Oversee full close procedures, including budgeting, invoicing, reimbursements, expense reviews, reconciliations, fixed assets, and day-to-day accounting activities across multiple entities and projects.
• Review bank reconciliations, outstanding check lists, AP invoices, suspense accounts, monthly financial statements, and management-level financial reporting while supporting tax and audit preparation.
• Prepare and review draw packages, supporting documentation, project financial models, job status and closeout activities, project payments, and related accounting records.
• Train and mentor accounting staff, support special financial projects and escalated accounting matters, and identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and overall efficiency.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

• 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate as a hands-on accountant while providing leadership to an accounting team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

• Experience coordinating tax-related activities and working with external CPA firms.
• CPA preferred, but not required.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
