Accounting Manager

Shift: 1st, (7:30 AM- 4 PM)

Pay: $90K-$100K/ Yr (Based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the day to day accounting operations and oversee the monthly and annual financial close process. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing accounting, inventory costing, and financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and ensure the timely completion of monthly and annual financial close processes.
  • Oversee daily accounting transactions, including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and consolidated financial reports.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while promoting accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the director of Finance and facility controllers to analyze and improve inventory costing methodologies and discrepancy tracking.
  • Coordinate and support external audits by providing accurate and complete financial information.
  • Assist with tax-related activities, including tax return preparation, sales tax filings, and quarterly estimated tax reviews.
  • Partner with facility controllers to provide timely financial reporting, analysis, and operational support.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including inventory accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and audit management.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience managing multiple direct reports.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working with multiple ERP systems is preferred.
  • Manufacturing industry experience and/or public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
