Shift Details:
M-F, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. 35 hrs per week
Administrative Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with recruitment administration; monitor recruitment activities; maintain employment and recruitment records; respond to inquiries from applicants, employees, and hiring departments; prepare correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets.
Schedule meetings; maintain confidential employee relations files; prepare correspondence and reports; organize case documentation; respond to routine inquiries; provide administrative support for day-to-day Employee Relations activities.
Monitor shared Human Resources email inboxes; route inquiries to the appropriate staff member; respond to routine requests; maintain tracking logs and provide general customer service support.
Assist with data validation, process documentation, training coordination, testing support, and other Human Resources projects related to the implementation of CUNYWork (Workday).
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma (or equivalent),
Two (2) year minimum experience working in a professional office setting,
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and shared calendars, and virtual meeting applications including WebEx and Zoom,
Experience supporting day-to-day office operations, including supplies, equipment, correspondence, document management, and general administrative needs,
The ability to enter data into, and extract data from, electronic databases,
The ability to work independently and on a team with different personalities,
The ability to handle multiple, shifting priorities,
Good organizational skills, including an ability to organize information into reports,
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments,
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional certifications may be required.
