Employee spotlight: Jessica Robicheaux, director of marketing automation + email strategy

Q: Tell us about your job! What do you do? What does a typical day look like in your role?

A: I’m the director of marketing automation and email strategy, covering both B2B and B2C strategy. I manage our Pardot instance and help maintain the flow of leads from our Hiring.CareerBuilder.com website into Salesforce, to our SDRs and sales teams. I spend my days in Pardot and Salesforce, writing and building emails and helping ensure we stay visible to both employers and candidates.

Q: How has your time at CareerBuilder been so far?

A: It’s been a hectic year, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. There is always plenty to work on and I know that the things I’m doing with my team are moving the needle in the right direction.

Q: What attracted you to join CareerBuilder?

A: I always want to try to work somewhere that puts good out into the world and makes a difference in people’s lives.

Q: What is the best piece of advice that you have ever received?

A: I used to say that I lucked into my career in marketing operations/automation, but my dad told me that talking about myself that way devalues the hard work I’ve put in over the years. My confidence has changed tremendously since I’ve changed that thinking!

His second-best piece of advice: If you can’t figure out a problem or puzzle, walk away for ten minutes and clean something (or another small, distracting task) – the answer will probably reveal itself when you come back with a clearer head.
