Perform the full range of Instructional Assistant duties; tutor students on materials covered in the assigned courses, primarily basic skills math courses (Pre-algebra through Intermediate Algebra and Math for Trades), provide learning assistance to students individually or in groups in understanding and assimilating material presented in a variety of educational settings, using program materials and supplemental materials when needed; proctor, mark and record tests; review tests and quizzes with students, tutoring concepts as needed; maintain records. Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a classroom or mathematics laboratory setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
