Maintain appropriate service to the department, college, and university, including service on departmental, college, and university committees, assisting with department recruitment and retention efforts, maintaining major instruments, and advising students. The Department has up-to-date classroom and research space in the Science Building and the recently renovated ($23 million) Roosevelt Science Center, as well as major instrumentation to support teaching and research (e.g., NMR, LC-MS, HPLC, GC-MS, XRF, XRD, and new spectrometers including fluorescence, IR, and UV-vis).
