Job Responsibilities:
As a CDL-B/A Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Operating a 26-foot straight truck to transport and deliver donated goods to our Attended Donation Centers across Central New York.
p>Requires: excessive noise, exposure to weather, extreme temperatures, moving/mechanical parts, pathogen exposure, vibration, travel, multiple works locations, field work, bending, carrying, handling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, fingering, balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, reclining, hearing, smelling, talking, visual acuity, ability multitask, ability to work under pressure, ability to articulate and communicate information in conversations, ability to follow written instruction, ability to follow verbal instructions. Operating trucks, walking floor trailers and other common maintenance equipment, such as front-end loaders, forklifts, water trucks and wood grinders;
Performing preventive maintenance on equipment;
Using two-way radios and other communicative devices;
Applying customer service techniques;
Establishing and maintaining effective interpersonal relationships with co-workers;
Communication, both oral and written, sufficient to receive direction and follow direction.
