Durham School Services is hiring School Bus Drivers in the Minetto/Oswego, NY area, and no previous experience is required. We provide the training you need to get started and help you work toward your CDL.

Walk-In Hours: Tuesday–Thursday, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.

Location: 34 Co. Route 31, Oswego, NY 13126

Pay: $20/hour

Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours per week

Sign-On Bonus:

$1,500 for licensed big bus drivers, BPS

$1,000 for licensed small bus drivers, CPS

Who Makes a Great School Bus Driver?

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds:

• New to commercial driving, we provide training
• Experienced drivers, CDL-A/B, delivery, shuttle, transit

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus on assigned local routes
• Transport students to and from school, sports, and events
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe bus environment
• Communicate courteously with students, parents, and school staff

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, no CDL needed to start
• Must have held a driver’s license for at least 3 years
• Minimum age: 21
• If you’ve held a DOT-regulated driving role in the past 3 years, we must be able to verify that employment per DOT guidelines
• Pass DOT drug screen, physical, and background check
• Compliance with DOT regulations, marijuana is prohibited, even for medical use
• Reliable attendance and a safety-first attitude
