On the office side, you handle the kind of everyday operations that keep a small manufacturer running smoothly: visitors, phones, mail, documentation, and some order entry and invoicing support. As our Safety Lead, you own the programs that keep people whole at the end of every shift: OSHA compliance, training, walkthroughs, LOTO, PPE, machine guarding, SHARP.
The student in this role will receive training by attending an orientation session in the week prior to the start of the semester, 4 leadership training sessions throughout the semester, a weekly 1 hour long prep session with their supervising instructor, and taking a Pedagogy Course (EDN 110) that meets weekly on Fridays at a time to be determined. As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside nurses and medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care.
