The Gifted Intervention Specialist will provide direct instructional services and enrichment opportunities, collaborate with educators to support differentiated instruction, and partner with families to ensure gifted students receive appropriate and meaningful services.\n \nKey Responsibilities\n\n Provide direct instructional support and enrichment opportunities for gifted students across K12\n Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiation, acceleration, and enrichment strategies\n Lead the identification and service planning for gifted students, in alignment with state and district requirements\n Develop and monitor Written Education Plans (WEPs) and Written Acceleration Plans (WAPs), where applicable\n Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding best practices for gifted education\n Support students' social-emotional needs related to giftedness, including executive functioning and peer relationships\n Maintain appropriate documentation and progress monitoring for gifted services\n Participate in team meetings, professional learning, and district initiatives as appropriate to the role\n \nQualifications\n \nMinimum Required Qualifications:\n\n Valid Ohio Certification, with Gifted Intervention Specialist endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)\n Prior successful experience working with gifted students and providing support to classroom teachers preferred\n Ability to communicate well\n Able to modify, design and differentiate the curriculum to meet gifted students needs\n Ability to coordinate projects\n Strong leadership and collaboration skills\n \nApplication Process: Please apply on-line via the Perry Local Schools web-site at www.perry-lake.org.
