p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. • Establishes meaningful connections with students as they work towards returning to their public-school settings • Designs educational programs for students based on assessments and presents their findings at Team meetings and PPTs • Maintains communication with sending districts, parents, certified special education teachers, school social workers, speech and language pathologist, teaching assistants and occupational therapist • Participates in ongoing professional development, including the ARC framework and CPI • Participates in the ordering of classroom supplies and teaching materials • Assess and progress monitor students using formal and informal methods.
The Special Education Teacher will instruct a small caseload of students with the assistance of teaching assistants, clinical social workers, speech pathologist, occupational therapist, certified special education teacher peers and educational director.
