Your Impact Responsibilities Include Learning & Development (80%) Works with manager to design innovative and engaging onboarding and learning content for NGS staff, leaders, and teams Create training materials and slide decks, as well as supporting materials such as rubrics, manuals, training guides, assets and more Conduct research to support content development Coordinate efforts with HR Business Partners, internal communications, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure opportunities are widely accessible to all staff Provide support for virtual, in-person, and online training events, including co-facilitation Data Analysis & Reports (10%) Monitor and evaluate workshop evaluation data to inform strategy and decision making Gather and analyze data to evaluate and improve team and organizational effectiveness Performance Management (10%) Support development of performance management frameworks, materials, training and communication including goal-setting, check-ins throughout the year and year-end performance reviews What You’ll Bring Educational Background Bachelor’s Degree preferred Minimum Years and Type of Experience 4+ years of work experience in learning and development/training and talent management Necessary Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Creative thinking, responsive problem-solving, and attention to detail Desired Qualifications Understanding of onboarding development and processes Knowledge of museum best practices Supervision No direct reports Salary Information The National Geographic Society offers a competitive and holistic total rewards package.
