This position has been designated by the department to require a background check because it requires access to children or vulnerable adults as defined by https://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=74.34, engages in law enforcement, requires security clearance, interacts with WSU students in a counseling or advising capacity, has access to personal identifying and/or financial information, unsupervised access to university buildings/property, or other business-related need. They help students navigate University policies, degree requirements, and college-specific expectations, while also helping students develop career goals, action plans, and connecting them with high-impact learning experiences such as internships, study abroad programs, industry networking events, student organizations and scholarship opportunities, all essential components of the CCB's emphasis on experiential and applied learning.
