p>Your Specific Responsibilities: ⢠Provides training and guidance to attorneys, OPS personnel within the Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco Legal Unit; ⢠Litigates enforcement actions; ⢠Evaluates investigative reports and evidence; ⢠Drafts and issues subpoenas; ⢠Negotiates settlements; ⢠Drafts pleadings, complaints, motions, notices, and orders; ⢠Compiles exhibits; ⢠Witness preparation; ⢠Takes and defends depositions; ⢠Initiates and responds to discovery; ⢠Prosecutes and defends enforcement cases and rule challenges before the Division of Administrative Hearings; ⢠Prosecutes and defends final orders, emergency suspension orders, declaratory statements, rule waivers, and various cases in circuit courts; ⢠Files and answers foreclosure cases; ⢠Files claims and intervenes in bankruptcy proceedings and federal actions as requested by the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco; ⢠Drafts, reviews, edits, and evaluates proposed rule packages; ⢠Responds to Joint Administrative Procedures Committee correspondence; ⢠Implements agency policy; ⢠Responds to consumer inquiries in writing and verbally.
