Characteristic duties of our Staff Nurses include but are not limited to: ā¢ Applies nursing theory to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health and illness ā¢ Assesses patient health care preferences and expectations ā¢ Collaboratively coordinates the continuum of care across settings ā¢ Develops patient care plans based on patient condition, age, and psychological, educational, and socioeconomic conditions that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes ā¢ Implements patient care plans according to patient priorities, which includes interventions identified through nursing diagnoses ā¢ Documents/reports interventions and patient/family response ā¢ Collaborates and integrates contributions of patients and families into multidisciplinary patient care plans ā¢ Develops, coordinates, and implements transfer/discharge planning throughout the episode of care ā¢ Implements nursing interventions according to department, division, and/or unit policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff ā¢ Follows universal precautions. The Vascular and Neuroscience Intermediate and Acute Care Unit (2 RCP) is a 34-bed intermediate acute care unit specializing in comprehensive, head-to-toe, compassionate care for adult neurology, neurosurgical, and vascular surgery patients.
