Operates and maintains custodial and grounds care equipment including automatic scrubbers, burnishers, snow blowers and hydraulic lift; uses personal protective equipment and other safety tools and practices; manages human and material resources to ensure quality service and a safe environment; working knowledge of the safe efficient procedures for operating central heating plants and the ability to make minor adjustments and service repairs to the equipment; possesses advanced knowledge of emergency response procedures, including code red/blue, fire code regulations, inclement weather procedures, etc; skilled to train, assign, supervise, and inspect work of subordinates; ability to maintain records of time and materials, and to prepare routine reports, records, evaluations; utilizes computer technology to order supplies and equipment, process maintenance work orders, communicate with administrators and other staff to effectively manage school operations; good human relations and communication skills.
