The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field (such as chemistry, biology, environmental science, or engineering), a minimum of five years of experience in environmental assessment, environmental science, engineering, or a related field, a solid understanding of environmental due diligence report requirements and environmental projects, strong logical and analytical skills to address environmental risk mitigation issues, and experience with environmental risk as it relates to real estate lending, which is a plus. You will work with the Environmental Risk Manager, evaluate potential environmental issues related to proposed collateral, objectively providing internal clients with a balanced view of the risk and liabilities associated with the given property, including risk management options and strategies.
