Essential Job Duties: - Supervise and engage children of varying ages, from infants (6 weeks) through school-aged youth, in a drop-in childcare setting - Provide attentive care that supports the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of infants, toddlers, and young children - Maintain constant awareness of children's safety, location, and well-being at all times - Plan and implement creative, age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, sensory play, and quiet activities to keep children engaged - Ensure proper diapering, feeding support, and basic care routines as needed for infants and toddlers - Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming childcare environment - Enforce behavior expectations using positive guidance techniques - Follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and emergency protocols - Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and parents regarding children's needs and behaviors - Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm. Job Summary: The primary objective of the Youth Activities Center Worker is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in a drop-in childcare setting serving infants as young as 6-weeks through children ages 10 and up.
