While the role will initially focus on driving innovation within the contracting space, it sits within the COO organization and offers opportunity to apply learnings more broadly across SMA Solutions and work cross-functionally to support the development and execution of an AI strategy framework for the SMA business to amplify innovation across the ecosystem. Working closely with Sales, Operations, Legal & Compliance, and other key stakeholder teams across BlackRock, the successful candidate will lead initiatives that improve how contractual work is managed, tracked, and delivered.

Vice President, Contracting Innovation Lead-SMA Solutions

We're not bolting AI onto insurance — we're rebuilding the entire business as software, on a simple bet: turning expert human judgment into compute is one of the largest transitions left to make, and a trillion-dollar industry still run 90% by hand is the place to prove it. You'll own a module of the business end-to-end — the customer experience, the operator workflows, and the AI agents underneath — and run it with a forward-deployed engineer and the operators who live in it: sales, service, underwriting, ops.
