Job Duties and Essential Responsibilities: Serves as a contract subject matter resource to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental, and Quality programs, including, but not limited to, air/bulk sampling for hazardous materials, asbestos/hazardous metals/mold/silica, audits and inspections, biohazards, engineering controls/ventilation, ergonomics, evacuation/emergency planning, fall protection, hazard communication, hazardous materials management systems, indoor air quality, lockout/tagout, noise and hearing conservation, permit-required confined spaces, personal protective equipment, radiation, sanitation, bloodborne pathogens, and thermal stress. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards; occasional lifting to 20 pounds; constant sitting with use of computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; constant mental alertness; must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines.
