Basic Qualifications - Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems - Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing - Experience leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments - Experience building large-scale machine learning and AI solutions at Internet scale - 10+ years of managing an engineering team operating at scale experience - Experience in executive level engagement with SVP/VP/C-Suite - Experience working with customers on substantial, strategic, and complex software or cloud services/infrastructure deals from opportunity through closure - Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making, or experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects Preferred Qualifications - Mining, resources, or heavy industry experience - understanding of OT/IT convergence, edge connectivity constraints, safety systems, and site-based delivery - Experience with IoT/edge computing deployments in operational technology environments - Familiarity with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, and agentic AI architectures - Experience integrating with Databricks and Oracle platforms - Experience in the Australian market Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
