Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program ⢠Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) ⢠BLS from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employment ⢠Current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas ⢠De-escalation training within 90 days of hire; does not require maintaining ⢠Ongoing compliance with demonstration of clinically pertinent competencies as determined by the facility ⢠ACLS within 3 months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment ⢠Successful completion of EKG test in department orientation ⢠Critical Care experience, preferred ⢠Physical and Sensory Requirements: ⢠Ability to read and write in English ⢠Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others ⢠Ability to remain calm during stressful situations ⢠Ability to respond to pages ⢠Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions ⢠Ability to repeatedly twist, squat and stoop ⢠Bending, lifting (minimum of 25 pounds), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling ⢠Exposure to infectious organisms, agents, and toxic chemicals ⢠On call shift coverage as required by department. Operating acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities, outpatient facilities and ambulatory care access points, an insurance offering, a physician network and various related services located all over the U.S. States, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom.
