A Service/Repair Technician 4 exhibits leadership behaviors and is responsible for providing on-site support to Hobart Service customers that includes but is not limited to: installation and/or service of commercial food equipment.

Installs, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies and completes associated administrative documentation on various types of electronic equipment such as ground common radio equipment, digital wideband and multiband networking communication equipment, and related electronic devices. In lieu of military courses/experience, a combination of an AA degree in electronics or equivalent certification from a technical/vocational school, and directly related work experience may be considered, e.g., DOD 8570 IAT level II certification or FCC General Radio Telephone Operator License.

Follow detailed wiring diagrams, schematics, technical orders, technical manuals and manufacturer's specifications and instructions to adjust, repair, and maintain radio transmitters and receivers to include operating procedures, radio wave propagation, radio practice, electrical principles, circuit components, practical circuits, signals and emissions, and antennas and feed lines.

Under supervision, installs, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies and completes associated administrative documentation on various types of electronic equipment such as ground common radio equipment, digital wideband and multiband networking communication equipment, and related electronic devices.

Level III Technician requires six years of field experience servicing generator systems with extensive experience on 500KW+, proficient with preventative maintenance, paralleling switch gear, ATS repairs, controller retrofits and Loadbanking equipment. Physical Activity: 85% physical activity required on customer site working with equipment, 15% form completion, email, other administrative tasks and completing technical support activities by way of telephone and computer communication.

This position supports shipboard mechanical, electrical, and electronic combat systems equipment assessments, casualty response, readiness inspections, and maintenance activities in accordance with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and fleet operational requirements.

The job holder could be exposed to extreme weather conditions (extreme heat and cold), burns, chemicals, dangerous systems, dirt and dust, electrical hazardous, grease and oil, loud noises, vibrations, steam and high levels of moisture, and other hazardous conditions. These maintenance items include, but are not limited to: replacing mechanical pump seals, replacing packing seals, replacing impellers, full PVC line replacements, centrifugal pump replacements, displacement pump replacements, check-valve cleanouts and repairs, etc.

Provide integrated logistics and related support services to include logistics audits, reviews and assessments, which determine the adequacy of logistics support and recommend corrective actions to technical documentation, tools, support equipment, configuration, test equipment, and repair parts IAW fleet schedules.
