Project Manager - HVAC The Hill GroupProject Manager - HVACFranklin Park, ILKey Responsibilities: Manage projects ranging to $5M, or multiple projects totaling that value with little oversight from management Identify value engineering and fabrication opportunities; present Customer with alternative options Estimate/bid projects; must be capable of thorough analysis of project document requirements, vendor offers and Hill project requirements; negotiate with key vendors for competitive pricing Promote other Hill disciplines to be project partners Create site-specific safety plans and JHA's Have an on-site presence at the project site; have basic understanding of all projects scopes (electrical, structural, etc.) Manage the construction schedule and recognize whether the deliverables/tasks are on track; analyze and develop subcontractor schedules; communicate any change in schedules and address items that are not on schedule Understand and process field work orders, RFI's, pay applications, change orders, submittals, etc. Develop and implement MBE/WBE/DBE work plans with strategic partners Must have a thorough knowledge of job costs; complete monthly forecasting of projects; monitor project metrics, including labor metrics which requires an understanding of the collective bargaining agreements for each trade Hill is signatory to and knowledge of MCA and SMACNA associations Responsible for post-project review, metrics sharing and lessons learned Mentor, train and develop Project Engineers and Interns, including delegation of tasks All other duties as assigned.
