IT Project/Program Manager V

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a senior-level IT Project/Program Manager to support key digital transformation initiatives within a large enterprise environment. This individual will lead multiple software development projects, manage cross-functional teams, and drive successful project execution from concept through implementation. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, organizational alignment, and project delivery expertise within Agile software development environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project and program management activities for complex software development initiatives.
• Manage project planning, execution, delivery, risk management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, timelines, and communications plans.
• Drive alignment across business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, and leadership.
• Facilitate project scope definition, prioritization, and governance activities.
• Manage projects through concept, prototype, pilot, implementation, and post-launch phases.
• Monitor project health, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead organizational change management efforts and support business transformation initiatives.
• Coordinate activities across geographically distributed teams in the U.S., India, and Slovakia.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Create executive-level presentations, status reports, project metrics, and dashboards.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Must-Have Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university plus 10+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or related field plus 8+ years of relevant experience.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of project management experience leading projects from initiation through delivery.
• 8+ years of direct project management experience supporting software engineering teams within Agile development environments.
• Experience leading end-to-end program management in cross-functional matrix organizations.
• Proven ability to create and facilitate project charters, scope definition, planning sessions, and stakeholder alignment.
• Experience working closely with business partners, product managers, and software engineering teams.
• Experience managing large-scale organizational change initiatives.
• Strong strategic planning, organizational alignment, and leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams through complex project execution and decision-making.
