The team"s mission is to deliver Network for Google to meet customers' needs by managing deployment readiness, working with cross-functional partners and measuring introduction velocity against program plans. Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.
p>Compute/Data Center Networking (DCNet) Delivery manages data center deployment programs/projects, including data center and colocation facility turn-ups, turndowns, expansions, refactors, and new technology pilots. Global Network Delivery manages infrastructure and campus network planning, B4, cluster fabric network and ML deployments, new technology integrations, physical network infrastructure data management and software portfolio management.
p>Data Center Networks is a team of Technical Program Managers (TPgMs) and Network Implementation Engineers responsible for the delivery of data center networks in Google owned and third-party data centers. Determine phasing and metrics associated with the program lifecycle to drive continuous improvement; this includes resource stewardship (the effective deployment of machine and human resources) across near- and long-term objectives.
The Program Manager will interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff and should have both written and oral communication skills commensurate with this level of regular communication. Eight or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including management of Lump Sum, Construction Management at Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close out.
