p>As the Recreation Program Coordinator, you will: Plan, develop, and execute special events, festivals, and parades Manage permits, contracts, licenses (including City liquor licensing), and compliance Oversee daily operations of recreation facilities to ensure a safe, clean, welcoming environment Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule part-time and seasonal staff Lead volunteer coordination and service-learning programs Develop marketing campaigns, press releases, and digital communications Forecast, manage, and reconcile program budgets; monitor payroll and expenditures Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with City, state, and federal regulations.
Certifications and Key Skills:
⢠Current First Aid & CPR certification ⢠Valid Class C Driver's License (or ability to obtain) ⢠CPRP, Certified Pool Operator, or Playground Safety Inspector certifications a plus ⢠Exceptional organization, teambuilding, and multitasking abilities ⢠Customer-focused communication (in-person, phone, and digital) ⢠Budget management and reporting experience ⢠Ability to thrive under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies ⢠Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software ⢠A commitment to safety, professionalism, and community service.
