Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the United States • Expertise in one or more of the specific areas of interest, i.e., computational geotechnics, geotechnical infrastructure/geohazards, ground improvement, infrastructure durability and resilience to extreme events, offshore/energy geotechnics, and transportation geotechnics • Ability to teach across the curriculum, in one or more sub-disciplines, including drafting, structural, geotechnical, transportation, surveying, and other related fields • Experience in curriculum development and innovative teaching methodologies • Experience in developing and teaching civil engineering laboratories • Professional experience in industry or government agency • Familiarity and experience with ABET accreditation processes • Proven experience in grant writing and securing research funding. The successful candidate will be expected to support student success through high-quality teaching, mentoring, and academic advising; collaborate with the Engineering Department Chair and the CBET Dean in advancing both the short- and long-term goals of the department and college; and contribute to program development through curriculum design, implementation of an ABET assessment plan, and the establishment of state-of-the-art teaching and research laboratories.
