Program Assistant Essential Responsibilities: Assist in the certification of WIC applicants by performing the following activities: Interview applicants to obtain basic demographic data, such as name, address, and contact information Verify identity, residency, and income eligibility by reviewing required documentation Enter all data into the Statewide WIC database Follow up on phone calls for missed appointments Answer WIC phone calls and handling requests for general information, appointment rescheduling, lost WIC benefits, and other inquiries as assigned by the Site Nutritionist or Supervisor Complete necessary paperwork, including maintaining participant files and ensuring accurate documentation.
