Status: Seasonal, Full-time (July 5, 2026 – August 03, 2026)
Rate of Pay: $4,000 stipend
Scope of Position: Assist in the daily operations of the Older Adult Ministries Camp (OAM) by helping with various programs and cleaning.
Responsibilities:
Abide by the Camp’s Personnel Policies and Practices as outlined in the Camp Staff Manual, including the requirements that all staff leave the campgrounds during staff breaks between camping periods. Smoking, drinking of alcoholic beverages, use of illegal drugs, and/or immoral conduct during the period of this agreement will be grounds for immediate dismissal.
Assist in the daily operations of the OAM as requested.
Assist with organizing and implementing programs and activities (collecting materials, setting up props, preparing games, etc.).
Assist with routine sanitation, set-up, and clean-up of assigned areas.
Assist with various camping programs and activities as needed.
Clean, mop, and stock public bathrooms with the necessary supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, trash bags, etc.).
Collect, wash, and redistribute all bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths in guest bathrooms.
Deliver materials to various locations on camp.
Ensure that furniture in common areas is arranged neatly and is free of clutter and dust.
Help clean and pack up the Lodge at the end of the camp experience.
Help with program activities as assigned.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area and closets, including neatly folding and storing towels and linens.
Maintain positive relationships with employees and guests.
Participate in the camping program.
Perform detailed deep cleans when requested.
Prepare and clean up before and after each session by picking up trash and neatly arranging chairs in the common areas, such as the meeting rooms, lobby, hallways, and dining room.
Report and return any guest property found in the rooms.
Report cases of property damage to the supervisor.
Respect guests’ possessions and privacy.
Strive to be a personal example in conduct, conversation, and attitude consistent with established policies and procedures.
Transport senior campers as needed.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent and must be 18 years old.
A positive, can-do attitude.
Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Ability to work with little supervision and maintain high performance and professionalism.
Self-motivated and dependable.
Strong time-management skills.
