The Manager - Physician Practices III, John Muir Health Physicians Practices (JMHPP) is a member of the operations and management team and works in collaboration with medical directors, physicians, practice staff, and the senior leadership team to ensure best practice operations within the ambulatory site(s) they manage.

They will play a critical role in ensuring seamless and streamlined patient experiences by coordinating outreach efforts for scheduling referrals, managing incoming calls for patients seeking to schedule their appointments or services, ensuring financial clearance is obtained prior to the appointment, and optimizing processes to enhance patient access to healthcare services.

The Hospital Manager partners with the Veterinarian to provide an efficient and profitable operation by driving revenue and managing costs while creating a hospital culture based on high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.

The unit ensures patients can efficiently connect with the primary care, specialty, or follow up services they need, working closely with clinical teams, practice management, IT partners, and consultants to maintain accurate and patient centered scheduling processes.

This individual is responsible for demonstrating proficiency and excellence in eye examination, diagnosis, and treatment skills commensurate with the maximum allowances within the scope of licensure, maximizing the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of patient care in the practice. Provides clinical tips or other written materials for patient education, for example, writing a blog on latest dry eye treatments.

Uses effective communication skills with patients and staff; demonstrates proper telephone techniques and etiquette; acts as an escort to any patient or family member needing directions; shows sensitivity to differences of culture; demonstrates a positive and supportive manner in which patients / families/ colleagues perceive interactions as positive and supportive.
