General Description\n \nThe Orange County Health Department has an opening for an Advanced Practice Provider I.\n \nAn employee of this class is primarily responsible for providing ambulatory primary care services as offered through health department programs, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness in all age groups, preventative and well childcare, family planning, reproductive and sexual health care, prenatal care, minor surgical procedures, and occasional medical emergencies in collaboration with supervising physician.\n \nWork is performed under the regular supervision of the Advanced Practice Provider II with some leeway to exercise independent judgment within the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in the performance of duties, both in terms of planning and accomplishing work and in making decisions regarding client/family needs and requests.
