Power Systems Engineer to support project scope ā¢ Perform short circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies ā¢ Assist other engineers with all types of power systems and engineering studies ā¢ Assist in the gathering of field data and documentation as needed ā¢ Support the full range of complex engineering studies including reliability, harmonics, load flow, and reliability-centered maintenance studies ā¢ Assist with the electrical power system documentation including system configuration, equipment ratings, and settings ā¢ May support circuit and system measurements and help write reports relating to EMF, electrical load, voltage, and power quality projects ā¢ Assist in the preparation of estimates and take-offs for engineering study project proposals ā¢ Gain a working knowledge of computer software and data utilized in the conduct of power systems and engineering studies and arrange training for others as needed ā¢ Follow and assist in the development of policy and procedures for conducting power system and engineering studies. Education and/or Experience ā¢ Graduate Engineer BSEE ā¢ Must have taken and passed the FE exam or pass the FE exam within 12 months of hire date ā¢ Requires excellent verbal and writing skills to communicate effectively with clients, field engineers, peers, and management ā¢ Requires mature judgment, responsible for assigned projects ā¢ Requires a high degree of organizational skills ā¢ Requires sound grounding in electrical engineering ā¢ Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night work ā¢ Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk, and hear ā¢ Frequently required to sit, and work at the computer ā¢ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, basic color differentiation, and the ability to adjust focus ā¢ Valid Driver's License.
