What You'll Do: Plan and approve orders to maximize available capacity, including building multi-stop truckloads that align timing, geography, and customer needsCoordinate load tendering, shipment execution, and day-to-day operational communication to support timely and accurate deliveryTrack shipments from origin to destination, proactively identifying issues and driving solutions to maintain service levelsCommunicate regularly with agents, van operators, carriers, vendors, and customers via phone and email to coordinate logistics and resolve challengesSource, secure, and assign transportation capacity across carrier networks and brokerage partners to support service and profitability objectivesCoordinate transportation execution activities including dispatching, carrier assignment, load coverage, order updates, shipment scheduling, and service executionMonitor shipment activity after dispatch, including pickup confirmations, shipment visibility, status tracking, and exception managementProactively identify service disruptions, delays, capacity constraints, and operational issues and partner cross-functionally to drive resolutionMonitor shipment-level, carrier, and agent performance to support profitability and equipment utilizationNegotiate pricing and payment terms with carriers and members to support margin and service objectivesSupport transportation activities across truckload (TL), partial truckload (PTL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and specialized freight movements, including commercial freight and specialty shipmentsRespond to quote requests, support re-quotes and pricing updates, and assist with service execution activities for customers and partnersUtilize transportation systems, carrier portals, load boards, and operational tools to support transportation planning and execution activitiesEnsure compliance with company policies, departmental procedures, and transportation regulations, including FMCSA and DOT requirementsManage documentation processes including reporting, service paperwork, operational tracking, and related logistics documentationPartner with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues using sound judgment and decision-makingIdentify opportunities to improve workflows, processes, communication, and service outcomesHandle escalations and support team priorities as needed. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience2-3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, brokerage operations, or a related fieldStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to "put the pieces together" in complex operational scenariosAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong communication skills and willingness to build relationships across internal and external partnersHigh attention to detail, organization, and sense of urgency.
