Responsibilities include the provision of hospital care to pediatric inpatients, including overnight coverage; consultations and co-management of sub-specialty, surgical, and psychiatric pediatric patients; pediatric sedation; teaching fellows, residents, medical students, and staff; active involvement in inpatient quality, safety, and administrative activities; and protected time for academic/scholarly activities in clinical informatics, outcomes research, child advocacy, education, or quality improvement. We provide 24/7 in-house coverage and clinical responsibilities include: inpatient management of patients on the general medicine wards, consultation or co-management services to various sub-specialty services, and care of normal newborns.
